# Treatment Journey for Lumbar Spinal Canal Stenosis at Başkent University Konya Hospital 12 Dec A patient presented to Başkent University Konya Hospital after experiencing chronic lower back and leg pain for many years, accompanied by numbness and difficulty with movement that had significantly affected her daily life and quality of living. Following a comprehensive clinical and radiological evaluation by the Neurosurgery Department, she was diagnosed with lumbar spinal canal stenosis associated with degenerative spinal changes and advanced disc deterioration. Based on the medical assessment, a surgical treatment plan was prepared, including nerve decompression and lumbar spinal stabilization using modern minimally invasive surgical techniques appropriate to the patient’s condition. During the evaluation and treatment process, Dr. Omer Ali Kerkuklu closely followed the case within the framework of international patient coordination, helping organize the treatment stages and communication with the specialized medical teams. The surgery was successfully performed in a fully equipped medical environment, followed by a gradual rehabilitation and follow-up program supervised by the relevant specialists to support recovery and improve mobility after surgery. During the post-operative follow-up period, a noticeable improvement was observed in the patient’s symptoms, including a reduction in lower back and leg pain as well as improved mobility and daily activity. Dr. Omar Ali Kerkuklua also continued to follow the patient’s condition after surgery as part of an organized follow-up plan aimed at supporting recovery and maintaining communication throughout the rehabilitation period.
